DOQ Priorat
Varieties: 100% Garnacha Negra monovarietal wine. Very limited production. It is produced only in the years when the old Garnacha Negra vines of Mas de l’Abella express their full splendour.
Winemaking: Traditional vinification; fermentation at 28 C followed by 15 to 20 days of maceration to achieve optimal colour and structure. The wine is then transferred to barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and is kept on its lees throughout ageing.
Aging: fifteen months in French oak barrels.
Vineyard: Estate located in the municipality of La Morera de Montsant, in the Santes Gates area, at an altitude of 400 metres, with llicorella and clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is planted with Garnacha Negra vines, which we call GARNACHA DE LA FONT after the small spring tucked away in a corner of the vineyard.
The agriculture we practise is traditional, with a regenerative organic approach.
Serving temperature: 15-16°C.
Line: Tinto Crianza.
Vista: Color rubí intens.
Nas: Aromes de fruites negres madures i tocs especiats.
Boca: Estructurat, amb tanins elegants i acidesa equilibrada, final llarg
Ideal amb carns vermelles, formatges curats, estofats i plats especiats.
